Sharebuilder DRIP Purchases- V, ACN, AFL

Reporting my buys that went through earlier this week and last week.

Last weeks purchases 4/8  (Dow 16,256):
  • $250 of V at $205.56 Yield .78%.
  • $150 of ACN at $78.46. Yield 2.37%.
  • $100 of AFL at $61.82. Yield 2.39%.
$500 of new capital invested adding $7.90 to my annual dividend income.

This weeks purchases 4/15 (Dow 16,263):
  • $250 of V at $200.67 Yield .80%.
  • $150 of ACN at $77.76. Yield 2.40%.
  • $100 of AFL at $61.23. Yield 2.42%.
$500 of new capital invested adding $8.00 to my annual dividend income.

Note:  Ive had my eye on Visa (V) since the end of 2011 but never pulled the trigger.  Since then, it has doubled.  Decided to initiate a position on the recent pull back.  It's a little pricey here (PE 26), but I will average down if it falls in price.

  1. AA,

Thanks for your updated purchases. I always enjoy seeing what direction your are going with your picks.

I'm used to you buying tobacco and energy stocks. Are you diversifying your portfolio or just trying to add some lower yield/high dividend growth companies.

    Thanks,

  2. MDP,

Thanks for the comment. Yes, I am looking to add some lower yield growth plays to my portfolio for a little growth burst. Ive been following V for a few years and it has always just gone up and up. I really like the company and thought this may be a decent entry point to start building the position. Same with ACN. I have a decent size postion in AFL already.

    cheers,
    AA
