Sharebuilder DRIP Purchases- AFL, CVX, PG

Reporting my weekly buy's that went through earlier this week.

This weeks purchases 6/3 (Dow 16,722):
  • $150 of AFL at $61.49. Yield 2.41%.
  • $150 of CVX at $122.13. Yield 3.50%.
  • $100 of PG at $80.25. Yield 3.21%.
$400 of new capital invested adding $12.08 to my annual dividend income.

Note: Small additions to some of the best blue chips on the planet.  Hard to go wrong with that even in a bit of an overheated market.

I'm liking PG and CVX here too. It's hard to find any decent values that I'm not already heavy in. I noticed you haven't done a monthly update in a while. Are you just documenting your purchases right now?

    Thanks,

    MDP

  3. All three are super solid companies for any DRIP. These days AFL and CVX seem to be valued at a decent rate compared to many others out there. Thanks for sharing.

  4. Just picked up some shares in AFL and considering CVX at the current price.

With 100 free shares per year through our broker, we have decided not to DRIP at this time. But if we had, these are the companies and prices that we would consider a DRIP with. AFFJ

  5. Div Hut, there are only a handful of stocks that I follow that I think are offering good value. CVX and AFL are on the short list.

    Thanks for the comment.

  6. AFFJ, 100 free trades per year is a pretty sweet deal!

These purchases are made through Sharebuilder where I get 12 purchases a month for $12. I just call it a DRIP.

    cheers,

    1. 12 purchases a month for essentially $1/each is a pretty sweet deal also. I would definitely consider that if I didn't have my free trades. :)
