Sharebuilder DRIP Purchases- PM, MCD, CAT

Reporting my weekly buys that went through last Tuesday and today.

10/22 Purchases (Dow 15,468):
  • $200 of PM at $87.75. Yield 4.29%.
  • $200 of MCD at $95.05. Yield 3.41%.
 $400 of new capital invested adding $15.39 to my annual dividend income.


Today's purchase (Dow 15,680):
  • $200 of CAT at $83.47. Yield 2.88%.


Note: With the market at all time highs, I have scaled back my investments a bit.  I will continue to nibble but I'm not seeing too much value out there.

Reporting my weekly buys that went through today.

Market was down 133 points to close at 15,168.

This weeks purchases:
  • $250 of KMI at $35.33. Yield 4.53%.
  • $200 of PM at $85.99. Yield 4.37%.
  • $200 of CAT at $86.53. Yield 2.77%.
$650 of new capital invested adding $25.61 to my annual dividend income.


Note: Thursday is d-day for the debt ceiling. We could see major sell off if a deal is not made.
My guess is a last minute deal will be made but it will just kick the can down the road a little longer.

September 2013 Update

 

This is the best time of the year for sports with the NFL and college football in full swing along with the baseball playoffs.  

 

The great thing about passive income is that even while I am sitting on the couch watching football and baseball all week, my money is still working for me.

  • $700 of KMI at $35.76. Yield 4.47%.
  • $550 of PM at $83.88. Yield 4.48%.
  • $350 of RDS.A at $65.07. Yield 5.53%.
  • $150 of TEVA at $38.61. Yield 2.59%.
Also reinvested all dividends.
 
$4,252.35 in total new capital added (including reinvested dividends) with initial yield of 4.69%. 

Dividend Increases

  • LMT 15.7% raise. +$74.65 annual income.
  • PM 10.6% raise. +$78.03 annual income.
  • MCD 5.1% raise. +$12.98 annual income.
  • VZ 2.9% raise. +$4.94 annual income.

All together, annualized dividend income increased by $370 from last months total of $10,545 to $10,915. This means my dividend stocks will pay $10,915 in dividends over the next 12 months.

Other

  • Lending Club interest received: $127.06
  • Bank interest received: $52.49

Total passive income: $1,776.90 


Note: Good month with nice dividend increases from LMT and PM. September along with March are my two biggest months of the year as these are the months BBL and BHP pay their semi-annual dividend.

This months passive income total is a 13% increase over March's number.

Sharebuilder DRIP Purchases- KMI, PM, CAT

Reporting my weekly buys that went through yesterday.

Market continues to fall from continued government shutdown and threat of failure to raise debt ceiling next week.

Market closed yesterday at 14,777 and is down about 6% from last month's high.

This weeks purchases (10/8):
  • $250 of KMI at $34.87. Yield 4.59%.
  • $200 of PM at $86.70 Yield 4.34%.
  • $200 of CAT at $83.09. Yield 2.89%.
$650 of new capital invested adding $25.92 to my annual dividend income.


Note: CAT now trading below my cost basis and approaching 3% yield.  Last time CAT offered initial 3% yield; Feb 2010.

Sharebuilder DRIP Purchases- KMR, KMI, PM

Reporting my weekly buys that went through today.

Market has been down 7 of the last 8 days on worries of the government shutdown- which went into effect today.

Market responded by gaining 62 points to close at 15,192.  Go figure.

Today's purchases:
  • $250 of KMR at $75.41. Yield 7%.
  • $200 of KMI at $35.83. Yield 4.46%.
  • $200 of PM at $87.15. Yield 4.31%.
$650 of new capital invested adding $35.06 to my annual dividend income.


Note: All 3 are trading well above my cost basis.

I continue to like KMR at 7% yield.  I am closing in at $1200 forward annual dividends from combination of KMR/KMI.

I also have a short term goal of achieving $1200 go forward annual dividends from PM.
