September & October 2014 Update



Happy Thanksgiving all!  A little late in my September and October numbers but I guess better late then never.

Quick September summary:

  • $850 of BBL at $53.61.Yield 4.63% 
  • $500 of MCD at $91.45. Yield 3.72%
  • $250 of DEO at $115.63. Yield 2.99%
  • $250 of ACN at $77.27. Yield 2.64%
  • $200 of GE at $24.50. Yield 3.59%
Also reinvested all dividends.
 
$3,940 in total new capital added (including reinvested dividends) with initial yield of 3.99%. 

Dividend Increases

  • ABBV 16.7% raise. +$80.51 annual income.
  • GS 9.1% raise. +$6.31 annual income.
  • KMI 2.3% raise. +$14.01 annual income. 
  • KMR .7% raise. +$7.25 annual income.

Annualized Dividend Income

All together, annualized dividend income increased by $265 from last months total of $13,795 to $14,060. This means my dividend stocks will pay $14,060 in dividends over the next 12 months.

Other

  • Lending Club interest received: $290.20
  • Bank interest received: $45.55

Total passive income: $1,075.60


Note: After today's huge sell-off in oil, I will be going heavy into oil names in December.

  • $250 of BP at $41.75. Yield 5.75%
  • $150 of CVX at $115.85. Yield 3.69%
  • $100 of DEO at $119.66. Yield 2.89% 
  • $100 of PM at $86.60. Yield 4.62%
  • $100 of AFL at $60.02. Yield 2.60%
$1050 of new capital invested adding $47.31 to my annual dividend income.

Note: Continue to average down on BBL.  Today's buy basically at 5% and is my lowest buy point.

INTC dividend increase




In a bit of a surprise, today, Intel announced that it is raising it's quarterly dividend from $.225 to $.24.

This represents a 6.6% raise and is the first raise since May 2012 when the quarterly dividend went from $.21 to $.225.

Since I own 707 shares, this will increase my annual go-forward dividends by $42.42.

$1150 of new capital invested adding $54.20 to my annual dividend income.

Note:  Energy continues to be attractive and I will keep on adding.
