Sharebuilder Weekly Purchases

The past few days have brought back not so fond memories of 2008 - 2009.  I kinda forgot how fast the market go into absolute  free-fall.  As the old saying goes- it's an escalator ride on the way up and an elevator ride on the way down.

Here is what I have been up to over the past month-

8/4 (Dow 17,551):
  • $200 of DEO at $111.98. Yield 3.09% 
  • $300 of CVX at $85.34. Yield 5.02%. 
$500 of new capital invested and adding $21.23 to my annual dividend income.

8/11 (Dow 17,403):
  • $200 of BP at $35.71. Yield 6.72% 
  • $200 of EMR at $49.10. Yield 3.83%.
  • $200 of PG at $76.18. Yield 3.48%
$600 of new capital invested and adding $28.06 to my annual dividend income.

8/18 (Dow 17,511):
  • $250 of CVX at $83.50. Yield 5.12% 
  • $250 of BBL at  $35.02. Yield 7.08%.
  • $200 of DEO at $111.02. Yield 3.12%.
 $700 of new capital invested and adding $36.74 to my annual dividend income.

8/24 (Dow 15,666):
  • $300 of CVX at $73.24. Yield 5.84% 
  • $250 of BBL at  $31.87. Yield 7.78%.
  • $350 of RDS.B at $51.26. Yield 7.33%.
  • $350 of BP at $31.65. Yield 7.58%.
 $1250 of new capital invested and adding $89.19 to my annual dividend income.
