Reporting my weekly buys that went through last week and today.

Last weeks purchases 1/20 (Dow 17,515):

• $200 of CVX at $105.19. Yield 4.07% 

• $200 of RDS.B at $66.35. Yield 5.67%

• $200 of DEO at $115.18. Yield 3.00%.

$600 of new capital invested and adding $25.48 to my annual dividend income.

This weeks purchases 1/27 (Dow 17,387):

• $200 of CAT at $79.71. Yield 3.51%

• $150 of PM at $82.28. Yield 4.86%

• $150 of MCD at $89.91. Yield 3.78%

$500 of new capital invested and adding $19.99 to my annual dividend income.

Note: Big sell-off today as the Dow closed down 291 points.

CAT is now at 3.5% initial yield after a big 7% sell-off today after missing earnings.  It's now offering its highest yield since the financial crises.

1/13 Purchases (Dow 17,614):

• $200 of CVX at $106.78. Yield 4.01% 

• $200 of RDS.B at $64.79. Yield 5.80%

• $200 of DEO at $113.26. Yield 3.05%.

$600 of new capital invested and adding $25.74 to annual income.

Note: Another big down day today (1/14) dropping 186 points. 

On radar for next week: BP is approaching 7%. BBL was also hammered and hit $38 and change today.  CAT is well over 3% at $86. GE starting to look interesting and approaching 4%.

• $500 of BP at $38.75. Yield 6.19%

• $250 of CVX at $113.83. Yield 3.76%

$1250 of new capital invested and adding $69.21 to annual income.

Last weeks purchases 12/30 (Dow 17,983):

• $200 of PM at $82.71. Yield 4.84%.

+ $9.67 annual income.

This weeks purchases 1/6 (Dow 17,372):

• $250 of BBL at $40.66. Yield 6.10%

• $300 of BP at $36.08. Yield 6.65%

• $200 of CVX at $107.78. Yield 3.97% 

$750 of new capital invested and adding $43.15 to annual income.

Note:  Oil at 5 year lows- around $48 a barrel.  Same names as above on my radar for next week.  CAT is approaching 3%.  Like DEO also.
