Largest month ever as I almost broke the $1000 mark.  2 of my holdings (BBL and BHP) pay dividends semi-annual and I received them this month.  Total dividends received during the month were $966.69:

• $1450 of EXC at $35.73. Yield 5.88%.
• $849 of MCD at $91.55. Yield 3.36%.
• $799 of TEVA at $40.36. Yield 1.94%.
• $500 of EXC at $37.38. Yield 5.62%. 
• $399 of AFL at $47.35. Yield 2.79%.
• $251 of CAT at $82.79. Yield 2.51%
• $200 of BBL at $57.80. Yield 3.94%. 

Also reinvested all dividends.
 
$4,871.69 in total new capital added (including reinvested dividends) with initial yield of 3.84%. 

Dividend Increases

• LMT 15% raise. +$59.13 annual income.
• PM 10% raise. +$57.00 annual income. 
• MCD 10% raise. +$11.14 annual income.
• VZ 3% raise. +$4.73 annual income.

All together, annualized dividend income increased by $314 from last months total of $7,420 to $7,734. This means my dividend stocks will pay $7,734 in dividends over the next 12 months.

Sharebuilder DRIP Purchases

Weekly buys went through yesterday.  Market finally took a little breather and was down over 100 points to close at 13,458.

• $600 of EXC at $35.82. Yield 5.86%. 

• $199 of MCD at $93.87. Yield 3.28%. 

• $199 of AFL at $48.68. Yield 2.71%. 

• $199 of TEVA at $41.06. Yield 1.91%.

 

Total purchase of $1197 and added $50.91 to my annual dividend income.

Sharebuilder DRIP Purchases

Market relatively flat to close at 13,565.

Added to same 3 positions as last week's purchases with my weekly Sharebuilder buys.

• $300 of EXC at $35.48. Yield 5.92%. 

• $200 of TEVA at $40.07. Yield 1.96%

• $200 of MCD at $92.50. Yield 3.03%

 
Total purchase of $700 and added $27.73 to my annual dividend income.  

QE3, PM, and PM's

 
QE3 announced and market gains 207 points to close at 13,540. Fed says they will  be buying $40 billion in mortgage-backed securities each month and keep rates at artificial and "exceptional" low rates until at least 2015. 

Good news for investors that own financial assets and precious metals. Bad news for the poor, middle class, and fixed income savers. 

Watch out for inflation in the coming months and years.

Silver was up over 4% to close at $34.67.  Gold up 2% to close at $1772.

In other news, PM raised dividend 10%!  Corresponds with 4% gain to close at $90.13.

Looking to the future and what I expect to be a heavy inflationary period, a cant lose portfolio are cigarettes and precious metals.  PM and PM's!

Party like its 2007!

Big rally today in the market as it closed up 244 points to close at 13,292- the highest point since December 2007!

For better or worse, I stayed fully invested throughout the turmoil and the subsequent recovery and my net worth is 3x higher now then it was in December 2007.

Looking back, it makes me realize that one of the most important traits of a successful investor is guts.  Be willing shake off gut wrenching paper losses without selling and have the balls to buy more when the market is a complete train wreck.
