2013 Goals

I can finally close the book on 2012 and it was a successful year.

I had 2 financial goals for 2012:

1) End the year at $8400 in go forward annualized dividend income.
-Check..  I finished the year at $8967.

Looking back, here is the progress:
2009 $770
2010 $2932
2011 $6048
2012 $8967

2) $8000 in total passive income received (dividend income plus interest income).
-Check..  My final total was $8624.  $7210 in dividend income and $1414
       in interest income.

I have been tracking this a little longer:
2007 $1654 ($602 div, $1053 int)
2008 $1325 ($970 div, $355 int)
2009 $1122 ($1011 div, $111 int)
2010 $2262 ($1597 div, $665 int)
2011 $5173 ($4023 div, $1150 int)
2012 $8624 ($7210 div, $1414 int)

Looking to 2013, I will continue build upon my personal financial mission statement that I defined in late 2009. My goal is to acquire income producing assets.

Goal 1: End the year at $12,000 in go forward annualized dividend income.

Goal 2: Collect $12,000 in total passive income.

Happy New Year and prosperous and healthy 2013!

  2. AA,

You had a hell of a 2012. Great job!

Best of luck with your 2013 goals. To be able to get to $12,000 in forward dividends is in the upper stratosphere my friend. That's something I'm shooting to (hopefully) hit in the next 7-8 years. Keep up the great work!

    Best wishes.

  5. Best luck in achieving your goals. 12k in dividends is great milestone. It's little less than a half of what's most Americans make in average. I like this amount of income!!! I wish I can get there as soon as possible too.

  6. Martin,

    Thanks for stopping by!

I am thinking that once my portfolio starts to generate $12k dividends in a year, my income will really start taking off with div reinvestment and dividend increases. Should be a fun ride!
